Everything You Need To Know for PK-K Enrollment

Enrollment for Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students has begun as of April 4, and will continue until June 3, 2022. Since this is the first time many new parents or guardians will complete the registration process, we at Rains ISD want to make sure you feel informed and supported.

Here are some of the essential links, lists, and pieces of information you will need to enroll your student for the 2022-2023 school year.

Enroll online at www.rainsisd.org.

Age Requirements:

  • Pre-K/Head Start students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2022.

  • Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2022.

Documents Required to Complete Enrollment:

  • Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card

  • Immunization Record/Affidavit

  • Proof of Residency

  • Photo ID

  • Proof of Income (Head Start/Pre-K only)

Positions for Head Start/Pre-K are limited and will follow these guidelines:

  1. Students meeting federal guidelines will have priority placement.

  2. Students NOT meeting federal guidelines will be placed based on availability. (Tuition Based)

*Enrollment must be correct and complete to be considered for placement.
