📢 Rains ISD Food Service Message 🍎
Rains ISD has officially transitioned to a new food service system.
Skyward will no longer be used to add money to your child’s lunch account.
We are now using School Café. To add funds for snacks or meals:
1️⃣ Send or bring cash/check – it can be added at the cafeteria register.
2️⃣ Add funds electronically by creating an account here: https://family.schoolcafe.com/RISD
💡 Each household only needs one account, but each student must be linked individually. Staff members will need to create a separate adult account if adding funds for snacks or extra meals.
✅ Log in, create your account, and manage all food service needs in one place!

A new Texas law (SB 2929) is now in effect at ALL athletic events:
🚨 Game officials may immediately remove spectators for disruptive or inappropriate behavior — no warning required.

In accordance with our 2025–2026 school calendar, please note that there are 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 during the school year when school will be in session in alignment with the 4-day instructional week schedule. These dates will follow a 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 schedule, with all activities and operations running as usual.
The 2025–2026 school calendar was approved by the Rains Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Please remember that 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 must be re-enrolled for the new school year. Completing registration ensures a smooth start and allows us to create class placements and schedules. Students who are not fully registered may not be able to start on the first day of school.

A new Texas law, House Bill 1481, will go into effect starting with the 2025–2026 school year. This law brings important changes regarding student use of personal electronic devices including cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, and any other device capable of telecommunication or digital communication during the school day.
