💲 RISD Employee Stipends 💲 The Rains ISD board of trustees APPROVED a retention and recruitment stipend to benefit all school district employees. The stipend was voted on and enthusiastically approved on Monday, July 8, 2024 by the Rains board of trustees. A one-time stipend amount will be granted to RISD employees, with the payment scheduled for either August 2024 or September 2024. Retention Stipend, August 2024 payout: Returning full time teacher, administrator, and professional employees in the amount of $1,500.00 Returning hourly support personnel in the amount of $750.00 Returning part time hourly support in the amount of $375.00 Recruitment Stipend, September 2024 payout: New full time employee in the amount of $250.00 New part time employee in the amount of $125.00 The investment in our educators is an investment in our students’ future. Last night our LadyCat Softball season came to an end. Although this isn't the ending we were hoping for, what a journey this season has been! Thank you to all the parents, fans, community members, and other athletes that came out to support these ladies!! It has been a blessing to see so many faces supporting this program! 2024 Season UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMPS! BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS! AREA CHAMPS! REGIONAL QUARTER-FINAL CHAMPS! REGIONAL SEMI-FINAL CHAMPS! REGIONAL FINALIST!!! Overall Record 33-8-1 1 out of only 8 teams left in 3A Softball!! Milestones: Coach Delo's 400 wins C. Oakes' 800 K’s

Although it's a tough end to the season, hats off to the Wildcats for a remarkable journey. Falling short in the playoffs' Quarter Finals round doesn't overshadow the incredible effort and achievements throughout the season. Here's to celebrating their successes and looking forward to what the future holds for this talented team.

LadyCat WIN!! By beating Mt. Vernon in two games the LadyCats are now headed to the Regional Finals!!

🎉 400th Career Win 🎉 Join us in congratulating Rains Ladycat Softball head coach on earning his 400th career win! The milestone win happened when they defeated Mt. Vernon 17-2 in the Regional Semi-Final (Game 1) last night. Go Ladycats! 💙

In accordance with our school calendar, May 17, 2024, and May 24, 2024, are designated as bad weather days, which will be a no-school day.
